About Me

Hello, I’m Connor Cape, and I’m a broadcaster and writer who was raised on sports and has been lucky enough to scratch a living out of it. Not every day has been easy, not every day ends with me saying “I did enough,” but every day has been worth it.

I am from Kansas City, my little cowtown in the midwest. Since 2017, I’ve been in Denver chasing a dream that I can’t quite nail down. I’d love to sit here and rattle off the name of every individual who has helped me get where I am but it would take tonight, tomorrow and then some, so I’ll keep it brief with the essentials: my family. I have a supporters’ section that rivals Dortmund’s Yellow Wall, Portland’s Timbers Army and the most raucous student sections in the SEC.

I was raised on football, baseball, basketball and discovered soccer a bit later. Since then, I’ve discovered hockey even later. Unfortunately, it just isn’t the most popular sport in KC so I didn’t get into it until leaving home. I also watch more Formula 1 than anybody should. I set 6:00 a.m. alarms to watch races happening on another continent.

In my spare time, I am the most amateur of all amateur photographers, I read books and watch movies and I love getting into the mountains to find an alpine lake. If I’m not doing those things, I’m probably watching sports because there’s always something on.
